Hey Bryan! Just wanted to stop by and send you some love!
I somehow missed your story until now but I truly believe its part of a perfect plan!
I'm not super special or anything but I do have some friends in high places (and some in low places too- lol) and we all are pretty talented prayer warriors.
So...seeings how you seem to be a bad a-- at fighting your way through this to the point that your kids could call you a super hero...well we're just going to have to pray for you to have a battle buddy. (Yep, we're all a bit of US Army too.)
Now in all seriousness I just want you to know that I am praying for God to release His angels to watch over you, to protect you, and battle on your behalf. I'm also praying for a hedge of protection around you and your family and most importantly I plead the blood of Jesus over you and claim your healing for you!
I'm going to be praying for you Bryan...not for patience or strength but for the easiest and fastest recovery possible as I think you've had to battle too hard already! Don't get lazy though...you have to meet Him halfway!
May God's favor truly be on you and your recovery in God-speed my friend!

First Praise God! AND then BRY. I think it was just last night when I wrote Bry is a strong will man. HE WILL RECOVER I know this.. It is God will. Not sure where Bry stood with religion but I feel God is using him and your family as we wait. And If Bry was not a believe of Jesus as our savior then I am guessing he will become one after he wakes up. There is no other way to explain why he is still here. God is not finish with him yet. He has his wonderful kids that he needs to be here for and a loving family.

STOW-- he know who he is. ☺. I wish you seen it but hearing it from the medical staff is nice too. I am sure you will be seeing more progress. I am so happy for you. You have no idea. I believe this is the beginning of seeing more of the Bryan you know.
I know there is a lot more ahead but with his will and the grace of God he will recover. This is great!


If I may make a suggestion to the family... you wrote "we are aware that it’s intermittent, and there will still be some steps back."
I think we have the keep in mind the power of suggestion. I think what we put out there in the universe sometimes can come back to us. I think it would be best just not to think that way. At lease I want to think Bry will only move forward with this healing. I am not thinking he will have any steps back. And I am thanking God in advance for the healing he will allow to happen for Bry.

Every morning I check this site to see what is new with Bryan. I am starting to feel like he is part of my family. I cry when you cry and I smile when you smile. Today - happy tears. Little by little, thankful for everything we get. Praise to our Lord for all He is doing for Bryan.

From the moment I first heard about Bryan I have been overcome with anger & frustration. I was happy to find your inspiring website which I have now read from the beginning and check daily. Many times I have thought about commenting but have held back, as it is difficult for me to leave out my negative opinion about the cowardly animals who did this to Bryan.

I am a born & raised Southern Californian. My mom followed in her father's footsteps and is an avid Dodger's fan...my nephew, on the other hand (who is also a native SoCal ) is an avid Giants fan. He always enjoys taking my mom to Dodger stadium when the Giants are playing...or used to anyway. He has experienced such abusive verbal attacks from the "fans" that he no longer feels safe taking his grandmother to Dodger stadium for what should be an enjoyable experiemce.

I think about Bryan so many times during the day. I wear the black & orange wrist band and get excited when people who are unaware of the meaning, ask about it. As soon as I start explaining...they understand immediately. I purchased several of them and carry a supply with me so that I am able to pass them out when I meet people who know and care enough to share the prayers for Bryan. I will not remove my band until Bryan has the strength to tell all of us who are proudly wearing them, that he is ready for us to take them off.

God bless you Bryan...You, your children, parents, girlfriend, and all of your wonderful family & friends, are in my prayers every night. I pray that one day soon you will be reading this website and will know how much love we have for you! GO GIANTS & #P21732 !!!

That is great news! Prayers are still heading your way for Bryan's recevery! Thinking of you all. My friend who was recently in a bike accident, with head injuries, has his breathing tube removed. He knew his daughter, new it was her birthday. Told his wife he loved her. It's amazing how the littlelest things can bring such hope. Hang in there. It's small steps daily that make us know he is fighting.

This is indeed great news! When I read about Bryan mouthing his last name, it brought tears to my eyes. I pray for Bryan and your family every day and I'm hopeful that his day will come and he will come back to you. The brain is an amazing organ and he's getting the best care and the best chance of coming back to the world. Love and hugs to you all!

That's great news. He is making progress and those little things that happened were to tell you that he is hiding in there somewhere. Right now this is all he can manage to tell you, but those are signs that he is trying to communicate with you. This is how it all begins. Maybe by next week he will increase the number of words he can say. You just never know. I have a good feeling that he will eventually make enough progress as to where he can function in everyday life. The road ahead isn't an easy one, but he will get there. The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

What wonderful news to wake up to. When my 17 year old son came running out of his room the other night to tell me Bryan had emergency surgery, my heart was heavy but immediate prayers were said by all of us. Do you feel the love Bryan? We have so much love for you. We will fight for your recovery with prayer and love until you are completely recovered and those prayers and love include your family as well. I'm wearing my bracelet with pride and have my "For Stow" sticker on my car in the hope that when people see it, they remember and take a moment to send a prayer your way. So today is a new day and what's even better is that the Giants play today ( wasn't yesterday horrible without a Giants game playing?) so heal that brain of yours, kick back and enjoy the game! Best way to heal everything is by watching the Giants play...that's my thought : )

I was having what I thought was a rough morning, then I read the latest update. Puts my day in perspective. I'm sooo happy that Bryan is doing well, and the surgery doesn't seem to have caused a big setback. He's in there, and he'll be coming back, I just know it. I know it's a long and winding road, but you ALL have the strength to get through it.

This is a great way to start the day! Wow. The best part is that Bryan was able to tell the doctors his last name with out any assistance. To me that shows that his brain is fully functioning and he has memory. This all is very encouraging and positive. Too bad that they had to give him that medication, hopefully that will end sometime soon so that all of this will continue to be more consistant.

In any case, got to keep the positives, the prayers and the belief that Bryan is going to recover and leave the hospital.

Eye of the Tiger is the first song I ALWAYS sing at the karaoke place :) "Went the distance, now i'm not gonna stop.....just a man and his will to SURVIVE" I think fits Bryan to a T! What splendid news! I'm so happy for you folks, and I hope one day soon you'll be at Bryan's bedside when he shows some responses like these. Continued administration of dilantin and/or other anticonvulsives may be necessary for some time while Bryan's seizure activity is still a concern, especially since he just had one and seizures often beget more seizures, but eventually they'll be able to taper his dose downwards and his brain activity will respond accordingly. I think you're very sensible to realize that his progress is still intermittent and subject to reversals, but obviously Bryan is past the worst of it now and is healing nicely. That's his job right now - to heal at his own speed and in his own time. So... go Bryan!!! Keep it up, man!

Also, the LA Times is reporting that two new suspects have been arrested in Bryan's beating. It looks like the first suspect (Giovanni Ramirez) is going to be cleared.

This was the best news ever! We have a prayer group of 200 people dedicated specifically for Bryan. We are from all over the country, and a few of us are from other countries as well. We heard the news of the setback Wednesday, and did a "prayer power surge" at 10:00 p.m. PST. To have logged on, and read your latest update yesterday was fantastic! We have an awesome God :)

Bryan & family: this is the news that all of us in not only Southern California, but around the world have been waiting for, for such a long time! None of us ever lost the faith in you for 1 min. It was easy to lose faith in a lot of other things, for this to even happen to you. I grew up in the Bay area and though living in Southern California, have remained a diehard Giants fan long with about half of Los Angeles these days, in part, I believe, from the strength they have gotten from you and your family. We have all boycotted Dodger Stadium and Frank McCourt for what he knowingly allowed to happen. Your personal sacrifice has probably saved many lives that would've otherwise been lost at that place that caters to gang members. I was there the day after opening day, wearing my Buster Posey jersey, not having seen the news of what it happen to you. I was abused and threatened, as with my wife, but somehow escaped the scary parking lot without injury. The security guards in the Stadium were completely uninterested with the foul and profane verbal abuse met it out to the many Giants fans through the whole game. All they were interested in was keeping people from moving up a row to a better seat. I never saw one security agent the entire terrifying walk through the ballpark. Like most people, I will never return to that evil hellhole. Last weekend I drove to Petco Park in San Diego to see my beloved Giants play the Padres. You are going to love this! There were more Giants fans there Padre fans, but that is not the really great part – pretty good maybe! The really good part was that stands for both teams had a great time together, in a friendly rivalry, congratulating the other one on big hits and big plays for the other side. More than a couple times I heard people talking about you, not only in interest for your current health and well-being, the happiness of your family, but also about the fact that your courage and incident has changed the entire baseball culture in Southern California – taken to a much higher level and much happier place. As a paramedic, myself and my family cannot have a greater respect for what you have done to help people that have been hurt and injured, and it is not lost on any of us that now you are the one that meets everyone's strength, blessings and positive energy to get back to your family and friends and one day soon, be sitting at AT&T Park, hearing the words "play ball", enjoying the Giants in the 2011 World Series. That day will come – the guys are going to win it for you, and you are going to be there to enjoy it with all of us, your unknown friends and fans. Stay strong – be well! Rick

Hallelujah is the word I'm feeling. Funny, I don't think I've ever used this word before. It was hard to hold back emotion as I read this latest update out loud to my sister. Bryan Stow, I always knew you were going to pull though and now the medical staff will begin to believe it to. Yes it's only the beginning, but you are going to make it. Thank you Lord, You truly are good.

Since the beginning, I've felt in my heart that Bryan would pull through, probably even faster than my Timmy is. But I just wanted you to know how HAPPY I am for all of you today. There will still be hard days, but these are the days we live for and they hold lots of promise for the future.

Every morning at work we update eachother on any news on Bryan. Today i couldnt wait to tell everyone the great news!! Bryan you and your family are in all our prays at the San Bernardino Parole Office.

Bryan, I listened to your mom on KFI radio today talking about how the kids saw the recognition in your eyes when they visited your bedside, how you mouthed "morning" back to the nurse's greeting "good morning, Bryan", how you were eyes wide open and thumbs/fingers up in response to the staff...I heard the upbeat energy in Ann's voice talking about Dr. Manley jumping up and down in Paris at this miraculous news coming at almost precisely the same time as news of the arrests.

It does make you wonder about coincidence and the power of prayer and positive thoughts.

I've got my Stow band on.

First I want to say how sorry I am that the event even happened at D. S. Being a fan since 1973, I've never seen anything that was too alarming at the stadium. I was raised to be considerate and to understand all people's different views, passions and loves....I am glad I heard about the website and will check in frequently because I have been concerned and have prayed for him all the time. If there is anything I or we in L.A. can do for Bryan--please don't hesitate to let us/me know. I would do whatever was necessary as Bryan has given his time, his knowledge to save others---it's the least we can do. My brother was a quadriplegic after a teenager ran him over; and so many times it was the paramedics who saved his life over and over again. I send hugs and many prayers to all of you. Stay strong.....we've got your back.....hugs......."chef kelly".........

you are in the process of starting your life over. It will be a little different for a while, you will need to get your muscles back and let's not forget that tan;). I would be so interested in reading a book that you could write about the whole mind body healing process from a PT point of view. I am very intrigued with how you were able to heal. I have to say from the start I hear your mother made your room a "Happy zone' and I am sure this had a huge effect on you.
There is so much you could cover. But first thing is first.. you need to get back to where you were. We are here for you we love you and never forget that! We stand with you.

The Stow family is in my prayers, may Bryan have a full recovery!

Hi, it’s Andrew Cajita’s mom again. Glad to hear the good news about Bryan’s positive recovery & the capture of the people who did this to him...I just want you to know, you are never forgotten in our prayers to The Divine Mercy.
We will always be here for you should you have any questions. We are going in our 4th year in this ever life altering experience; and sometimes it feels like there is no end to the madness. Sometimes it feels like all the long wait and all the intense feelings of uncertainties wear you down to the ground, but just hang tough all the while.
Our family has managed to survive by just lifting our lives to GOD. “Resistance is futile, acceptance is the key.” One day will come when Bryan and Andrew will be completely healed in Jesus name.
As previously mentioned, both Bryan and Andrew were not all the time your “good boys.” But as mentioned in the gospel of Matthew, Jesus did not come to this world to save the Righteous, but rather to save the Unrighteous. Jesus came for the sick, not for the well being. Jesus was criticized for hanging out with the unrighteous, sinful people, like Matthew himself was a Tax collector, who was despised and outcast for the thought of overtaxing the people and enriching himself at the expense of others. But the moral of it was Matthew who was deemed a sinner, became one of the Jesus’ Apostles. Matthew is therefore likely to have experienced Jesus' call to be his disciple and apostle as an act of sheer, DIVINE GRACE. He by GOD’s Grace was afforded the opportunity to change his life around to turn back to GOD to receive His Saving Grace thru Jesus Christ. Bryan and Andrew, similarly like Matthew, received the same calling. Perhaps we should be thankful for this calling; that we got single out for this, to help others through our experiences and in the end, our intense suffering will have a great redemptive value in GOD’s Eyes. Hello I am marvin norwoods cousin I want to say that bryan is in my prayers and the media should be more concerned about bryans well being and health I can understand that they need to cover the attackers but in my opinion they should put more coverage on the progress of Brian and all the great things the nation is doing for him by the way the media took all the horrible things I said about him and absolutely none of the good well either way I hope justice is served to those who are guilty and BRYAN WILL BE OK.

Fantastic news on an otherwise exhausting day. My toddler and I spent the night in the ER then the day at the Dr. due to going on week 3 of her being sick. I kept thinking to myself, we can get through this... and thought of Bryan, and all of you in his family as well as the little pediatric cancer patients and their families currently on our prayer list. I pulled strength from each of you to get through the night and in researching my daughters symptoms tonight, found an e-mail there was an update on Bryan. Continued prayers and support from back East from a California Girl. : )

I have never wrote in before but I have followed the story. I just wanted to say that I am sorry for what has happened to Bryan, it was not right. From all the updates I've read he has an amazing supportive family, he is so lucky to have you all by his side everyday. Bryan's will to survive after all he has been through is out of this world. Stay strong Bryan, you can make it, you have made it.

It is very sad when this day and time and technology has given us so very much to move forward in life, and then you get humans going back to the cave man days, acting like animals and seeking prey to harm, A hand shake and some words back and forth is what i remember when having my fav team lose, "next time, you suck, theres always next year" things like this are what oppisite fans are suppose to be saing, hand shaking and the man hug, noy beating and harming a man that has givin so much by helping others in life, i have been so very saddened by this since the day it brodcasted, my prayers are with Bryan first and all his family memebers, and as a compassionate human my prayers are also with these people that have harmed him, they need prayer also or when their time is served they will seek another person to harm or kill and the next victim might not be as strong as Bryan and not survive.God Bless the Stow family.

I was so happy to catch this update this evening. What great news! Bryan continues to amaze me with his ability to keep on going despite the odds. I feel in my heart that he is going to do well in the long term. I will continue to hold all of you up in prayer--no matter how bad things look on some days, God is able, and He is always with all of you. I look forward to seeing some new pictures of Bryan one day--in which he is completely awake, smiling, and embracing you all! Be blessed and please keep us posted on his progress!

Good morning Bryan and Stow family!

Just a quick note.. to let you all know i've been thinking about you, and praying for you. Continue to heal, rest, and progress. Stow family, I wish you every strength and support in the world. Happy Monday and the start of a new week. I'm thinking about you again today and wondering how you're all holding up. This has to be extra difficult being thrown in the public spotlight, but look at all of Bryan's adoring fans. He's got a lot of cheerleaders on his side.

To Bryan: We all eagerly wait for another word spoken, a wink, a squeeze of the hand, whatever you can manage given the circumstance. These little things are what keep your fantastic family going. We were on holiday in San Fransico when this horrible thing happened to Bryan. since coming home back to england, i have often searched the internet to see how he is doing, and glad to hear he is slow but surely getting better.
my heart goes out to all of you and of course Bryan.
