Today Bryan went in for a CT scan and an MRI. It was decided to stop the blood thinner for his blood clots and to put in an IVC filter. He has had this before to stop blood clots from shooting to his lungs. They stopped the blood thinner because he will also be getting another lumbar drain tonight or tomorrow. He just isn’t absorbing the fluid completely on his own. The drain will work slower this time around, since before it drained too much, too fast. They decided to do this tonight because the past week he has been extremely sleepy and has had very minimal response to commands. The EEG is also back on him to monitor for any seizure activity. We will keep you all posted.

We have met some great people during these past 4 months. 3 of those people are the friends that were with Bryan the night of his attack. Corey, Jeff and Matt. Unfortunately, Matt passed away July 31st.

Our family feels that we have no words of comfort to Matt’s loved ones, as we knew him such a short time. But in that short time, we came to know a great guy who was always smiling. We feel so extremely lucky and honored to have met him. This group of friends has had a rough 4 months; God…we pray for leniency. While Bryan was the one seriously injured that night, there were 4 victims. Please pray for Matt Lee and his loved ones, as well as Corey and Jeff…they will need strength to help them through these hard times.

Matt….May you rest in peace.

There are no words to express the sorrow felt by Matt's passing. This has been a horrible experience for Bryan as well as the 3 with him. Prayers have been going out to all of them and their families for all that they have also, along with all of you, had to endure since this senseless act 4 months ago. Continued prayers for healing for Bryan, we are all here pulling for you my friend ! Continued prayers for you, Stow family, for strength and faith! Never give up and always believe in those miracles !! And extra prayers for Matt's family, Corey and Jeff, may they find peace and strength during these trying times !!

Good evening, Stow family. Thanks, as always, for such a lengthy (and well-written!) update on Bryan's condition. For those of us who watch from the sidelines, this website is our only way to track Bryan's progress and I know I speak for many others when I say that we truly appreciate how much information you provide to the public.

I'm sorry to hear that Bryan's progress hasn't been significant of late but it is really reassuring that he has such a great treatment team. And as far as his friend Matt Lee, I read the news reports of his untimely death with disbelief. My sympathies go out to Matt's family and friends for their loss.

I am deeply saddened by the news of Matt Lee's passing. Such a tragic loss. Stay strong Stow family. Prayers continue for all of you, including Bryan's friends and Matt's family. Thank you for continuing to update us on Bryan's condition. So many people are praying for Bryan's return to good health and we watch for this update for the day you tell us that Bryan has really woken up and is functioning. I'm going to say an extra prayer for the doctors today that they can find a way to heal Bryan soon. We don't know you, but we all love you Bryan more than you can ever know.

I can't even begin to feel what you all are going through! You just can't seem to catch a break and personally I myself feel so helpless and wish there were more I could do. I do know I can continue to pray and support you all and everything that you must go through. I hope you find some sort of comfort to know that you are not alone in this............we are all still here BELIEVING, HOPING AND PRAYING. Please stay strong and believe that the Lord is taking his time on Bryan because he wants to make sure he gets it right! Never think that you are alone in any of this, we are here for the long haul! Hang in there and may God continue to watch over you and give you the strength you need to make it through another day!

ECCLESIASTES 1:1

For everything there is season, and a time for every matter heaven.

It's amazing how something written so long ago could have so much meaning thousands of years later.

When it's time for Bryan make the improvments we want it will happen. Everything in our lives are based on time.

As I've mentioned in earlier posts, there's major issue, at least for me haviing a lumbar aka Becker tube in the lumbar section of my spine. I didn't even know that I had it.

The people of this website will always be there in love, thoughts and prayers.

I'm sooo sorry to hear about his friend Matt, may he rest in peace. Also may Brian make it thru this tuff time. He will have an Angel watching over him now, and telling him about all the love that is surrounding him everywhere. Also, that justice will prevail with the 2 guy's that have been caught I hope they never see the light of day. I pray for you and all of the families out there that have been bullied for being different!!!

Good evening Bryan and family. So sorry to hear about Matt's passing. Please send my love and prayers to his family. I will pray for his soul and also for his family. I believe that Matt is in a much better place, so praying for strength for his family is the most important at this time. I pray for you all, and for the strength you have to have to get through this critical time. I truly believe that Bryan is going to pull through and start to get better. It will all happen in the Lords time. He has not forgotten. Just believe and the Lord will not let you down. God Bless you day and night and God Bless Bryan. I have never met Bryan but I feel blessed to have met your family. Stay strong and give Bryan my Love. Linda

That is so sad. All the men involve are so young. I will keep Mr.Lee family in my prayers this has to be so hard on everyone. Sometime it's so hard to make any sense out of what is going on. I don't know how you do.
Again thank you so much for the updates. I know this has to be so hard on you and I am not sure if writing about it helps you or not. But I have to say it so nice to hear what going on from the family vs. news. I check this site out often and I will do so until Bryan is heal 100% from this.
As always you are in my prayer and now I will add Mr. Lee family as well.
May God keep and hold all family that have been effect by this near his.
With lots of love.

Drear Stow family,
Thank you for takeing the time to keep us all updated about Bryan. Hopefully taking some of the fluid off made Bryan more alert.

When I had pressure build up I slept just the same way. When I had my shunt placed I came out of surgery talking to everyone.

But I had pressure build up after a brain tumor surgery. I did not recieve the meds to keep the swelling down after the surgery. I was just a mistake.

If you need it I can give you links to doctor that specalize. Pluse links to information to questions you have or anyone else needing help.

I have been wondering if ther is any physical therapy coming in to keep Bryan's muscles from tightening up?

In just a few days my muscles tightened up. But I also had to learn to walk again. But this is nothing that you can't deal with. It will just help to keep his muscles limber.

All my love and prayers are with you...

Hi Bryan & Stow Family,

I heard about Matt Lee and just could not believe it. I am praying for leniancy for Corey & Jeff, for Matt's family and Bryan. It can not be easy, however please don't give up. Be strong for each other, for Matt's family and for Bryan. Life is never simple, never easy and definately never fair. However by our each choice we get up and we can make it by choice. Now we really need each other to really stand together, stay strong and continue to believe in Bryan. Give Matt's family support to get through these tough days and allow Corey & Jeff to lean on us as they are really hurting as well.

Please continue to believe, continue to reach out to Matt's family, Corey & John, and never give up on Bryan!!

I really feel for all of you being in the public eye like you are and people making stupid comments. I just dealt with that earlier today and I'm not even in the spotlight. Some douche made a comment online about what a loser my husband is for falling and getting a head injury even though it wasn't his fault. The douche made several comments even after I pointed out that making fun of those that almost died or those that get seriously injured or even those that are handicapped isn't nice. My husband isn't handicapped, I was just making a point to this guy. So I can certainly feel your pain with some of the rude comments people make after articles posted on the internet. It's so hard not to comment back.

Hang in there. The kind people of the world are the only ones that matter. The rest will meet karma someday. Let God sort out the good from the bad.

I am from the Dallas area, in TEXAS. I just wanted to say, we are praying hard in TEXAS. I feel so awful for you. I want you to remember, Romans 8:26, The Spirit intercedes with groanings when words are too hard to form in prayer. You are not alone in this. The whole world is watching and cheering ALL of you forward. Bless your family.

And WHEN Bryan gets well, he is welcome to a home game in Texas, against any team he chooses, even Texas teams!

Bryan.... The world is listening and watching for you...

I just wanted to wish Bryan, Dave, and any other Stow Family dad's a Happy Father's Day. I didn't say this in my initial post because I admit to just being plain happy Bryan was home but I completely and utterly agree that the Dodgers (and any other MLB team) should and easily could be donating a whole lot of money. As someone else said, it is not about blame but compassion and doing the right thing for someone who was inexpressibly, horribly wronged. Sending hugs and best wishes always to all of you Stow Family.

Thank you for the updates! I listen to Bill Carroll on KFI here in So Calif, and appreciate the dedication he has shown to keeping all of us informed on Bryan's progress. As a mother of 4 sons, I cannot image the turmoil the family has gone through. God will give you all strength to support Bryan on this journey. Continued prayers for all!

Sorry, Bryan not Brian. Donation made and best wishes to all.

Sorry, Bryan not Brian (embarassed). But I made a donation. Best wishes for all involved.

MLB and or SF Giants or LA Dodgers should be helping this family to return Brian to the center that was helping him. The family insurance is running out but If these teams can pay players what breaks down to $100,000 or more PER GAME, they should be able to get together and help Brian Stow get the very best care possible! That doesn't mean they have to admit any culpability. They should do the RIGHT and MORAL thing to do and set an example to other Big Business. The good press would benifit them more than the money Brian needs.
I'm ashamed for MLB, LAD, and SFG right now.
I don't have much but I'm making a donation!

To Bryan and his loving family: You are often in my thoughts and prayers. Although the attack and repercussions are sickening, reading the kind words from people across the nation (and around the world), gives me hope and serves as a reminder that there is more good than bad in this world. Bryan, you and your family are inspiring; you are all representatives as to what goodness & bravery are - you bring out the compassion in all of us and the realization of what is truly important. Stay strong.

Hello..
So glad that Bryan is HOME...it will seem like a huge undertaking, but I promise each day will get easier, and you will find in the long run, it is easier to have him in the next room than in a facility...there are many, many programs, especially with his disability, that are available for him...please check with your local social services programs, they will lead you in the right direction, and don't take no for an answer..there is help, and caregiving help for free as well...WELCOME HOME BRYAN!!! There is NO place like HOME...

When a person gets hurt in your stadium, it would be kind and right that the host should help. It is what courtesy is all about. Hey, it wasn't the Dodgers' fault, but it happened in their stadium. You'd think the Dodger players could fork out a fraction of their millions. Even the Giants' players could help with the costs. A fancy "Welcome Back" celebration doesn't pay the bills. Talk is cheap. I guess we have to rely on the working man, that doesn't make the millions. We are our brother's keeper.
Where do I send money?
God bless you brother,
Mike in Los Angeles

Brian, your in our prayers, your such an inspiration! I'm a pain management nurse and you are so strong especially after what you have endured and you are doing better than alot of my patients do without having the trama you have had. To the family of Brian, you can try to claim total disability for him then they should pay all medical. SSI/Disability ins. God bless you all!

Bryan,

You should be so proud of the progress you've made, it's really unbelievable. You've come so fantastically far- the strides you've made are nothing short of astonishing. I can't wait to see how much more tremendous progress you make, and I believe, with a little help from your family, friends, and the man upstairs, absolutely anything and everything is possible. Wishing you the best- you're an inspiration to millions upon millions of people out there.

I wanted to personally invite Jesus Christ into your heart as your Lord and savior. Jesus is the Great Physician. Only the power of the living God can restore you whole and healed. I don't know your faith, but if Jesus could bring you back, whole and healed, would you accept him into your heart? What if it were true? All the miracles He preformed on the sick and broken? Would you believe it was possible for you.
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

I wish insurance companies were more understanding! I do have one suggestion - have you considered looking into a PACE program? It's for people over 55, but given Bryan's disabilities he may qualify for an exception. You can look it up on the Internet; PACE is a program designed for seniors which provides an Adult Day Health Center for socialization, primary care physician, rehabilitation therapy, medications, transportation, home health care aides, and a number of other benefits. Given your geographical location, I would recommend On Lok's program - as I said, the programs are really designed for seniors, especially those who want to remain in their own home rather than going into a nursing home, and although it's for people over 55, I think they do make exceptions from time to time. At any rate, it's just something that could be looked into. I work at a PACE facility, and I plan on joining when I retire and am eligible!!!
