Bryan has been heavily sedated since Friday due to the seizures. His neurologists want to keep him sedated until at least Tuesday evening in order to really keep his brain quiet and calm for a longer period of time. His nurse gave him a shave yesterday and he looks so handsome and has somehow managed to keep his perfect tan.

Today Bryan's neurologists have increased his seizure medications back to 6 (up from 4). His damaged right and left lobes are seizing at different times which means there are two irritated areas in his brain. He will probably be heavily sedated again while the doctors try to find the perfect drug cocktail to stop the seizures.

Thank you for your continued support and love.

Hello all...

Bryan had a CT scan this morning. The results came back with no changes in terms of his brain (a good thing) however a blood clot was found in his leg, so he is now on a blood thinner. In talking with his nurse, this is not uncommon for someone who's been bedridden. They just need to make sure it doesn't travel, specifically to his lungs. He's down to 4 (from 6) seizure medicines, another good thing. This means the seizing has stopped. They have taken him off the Versed, a sedation, completely and will hopefully start to lower the heavy sedation within the next couple of days. Since it's such a heavy barbiturate, it could take days to be out of his system completely.

Until next time....

We talked to the head neurologist this morning. Bryan was experiencing small seizures so they are taking him off the 2 sedations he was on and putting him on a high dose of a heavy sedation. He will be sedated for a few days to let his brain rest. The good news is there is brain activity. Once the seizing stops and the brain is calm, they will slowly try to remove him from the sedation. Because it's so heavy, it could take a few days for it to clear his system.

Thank you again for the thoughts, prayers and tons of cards we're receiving!

Bryan is still under heavy sedation. The doctors xray'd his neck to make sure there was no damage. His neck looked good so they removed his neck brace for the first time and shaved him... still not awake but looking more like our handsome Bryan.

Dear friends,

Tonight Bryan is resting under heavy sedation after suffering seizures this morning. The CT results showed that the blood is absorbing as it should be.

The weekend has brought family to visit and they have been sharing stories of support from all over the country & world. We are amazed, humbled, and so blessed.

Thank you does not seem to be enough and we hope to one day find the words.

Keep the prayers coming!

Hello dear friends!

Bryan's ventilator was removed and he had a trach put in, which should make him more comfortablel.

Tonight they are moving his feeding tube to his stomach. A CT scan was done about an hour ago and we are hoping for positive results.

Please, keep the prayers coming!

Hi guys,

So amazing all the love and support!! There have been no more seizures for a couple days so the drs have been slowly lowering the sedation and hopefully it will be all out of his system tonight. Once it's out of his system, he can be examined and hopefully (praying) he responds to commands. Or better yet, wakes up!! Please keep the prayers coming!!
